Finally!

After nearly 400,000 still photos and 14 months, shooting for Nether World has wrapped with our final shoot taking place on a cold and windy rooftop. We are now beginning the final picture editing and a rough estimate of the completed film's running time is about 40 minutes. Our premiere for both the film and live performances will be March 7th, 2009 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Please keep checking back for additional info.

Roxbury Film Festival

Roxburyfest1_2

Flying Orb's short film trilogy Shadow Worlds will be one of the featured films at the 10th Annual Roxbury Film Festival. Our film will be showing Sunday, August 3rd at 3:40pm at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts.

The Roxbury Film Festival, produced by ACT Roxbury and The Color of Film Collaborative, is the largest festival in New England dedicated to screening films by, for, and about people of color. While the motion picture industry has historically eclipsed the works of independent filmmakers of color, the Roxbury Film Festival supports them by putting their works on the screens of important Boston-area cinemas.

Dengue Fever and Flying Orb

This month part of the Flying Orb crew went to the Boston performance of the Cambodian-American psychedelic rock band Dengue Fever. Singer and guitar player Zac Holzman invited Flying Orb performers Sophy Leng and Monica Veth to join the band on stage for a song. After the show, lead singer Chhom Nimol (center left) joined our crew for a group photo.
